So... I feel like before I get around to doodlin' more of my little guy I should put together an initial character sheet.
Why? Mostly cause I get obsessed with details and lose a big picture.
Doing a character sheet will force me to be intentional about things like ... body proportions and style!
To that end I've taken a look at some of the cutest furs I could find (only some ... there's just sooooo many!) and gathered them together to compare.
Aaaaaaand... well I'm not sure!
So I know I want to default to a slightly older feeling ... say like "Dutch" or "Prince", but I'm not sure about how animalistic I want to be. "Spencer" and "Judy" for example have the thinner lower legs and longer feet that I associate with western antro art. I think that's good... but I like chubby cuteness so much too though... "Mew Plush Girl" and "Viko" both have extreme distortions that are really cute, but maybe too specific... and if I play it safe with tubby anime cuties that just happen to be furry and eared... well then I'll feel booooring and lame.
Uguuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~
Now that I've done this, I know I should just go and draw mah boy in a couple of styles and see what I think, so yeah I'll stop whining. *phhhbt*
BTW I don't know how people link to actual accounts in the way that inserts the avatar inline, so by way of credit, I'll just list the folks I've been studying here: Chinpow, Eppao, Target-Dog, BabySteps, Visark, Chuziku, and of course Cory, Nick, and Byron from Disney.
