This is a piece of Lightning Ridge Opal from Australia. The rough piece was just a color bar sandwiched between substrate. I got impatient waiting for my faceting machine, so I decided to cut this one by hand. My elbow is a little sore, but otherwise, I'm very happy with the outcome.
