Meet Heliope, my Official Fursona.
For years I never had a fursona. I've tried and experimented but I felt none of them best suited me. But tonight that all changes now!
Heliope is a Kalasian, an anthropomorphic alien race. Despite their strange and bazaar in appearance, Kalasians are rather open minded and are generally friendly. Despite having two heads, their actually one mind and one person, the upper head acting more as extra memory space and as a radar, while the lower head has a mouth to talk with. Plus, all Kalasians are herms and genderfluid by nature. Heliope considers himself to be male.
sometime down the road, I'll talk more about Kalasians in detail.

Maybe it could be something like this: the heart and lungs could be in the same place for us, just the airway points down towards their mouth instead of up like ours. The esophagus could be much shorter than ours by having the stomach be where the small intestines would be on us with the small intestines being pushed up to where the stomach would be on us and the large intestine being the same, if going to the bathroom is the same. Most of this depends on how they are arranged externally for their genitalia and anus and if you already have the brain situation figured out.
Edit: also kind of curious if your fursona only has bad eyesight on his lower main head or do both pairs have bad eyesight and it's just cheaper to have one pair of glasses.

That's kinda a neat idea and would make since. I was just thinking, though, since their suppose to be aliens, what if they had an organ that worked as both a stomach and small intestines? it might save space inside of there plus it would be a long tube of sorts that dissolves the food slowly as it travels through the tube, it's nutrients slowly absorbed until all the left overs gather in the large intestine.
as for genitals and anus, they are near the base of the tail but they don't have sexual genitals. I'll go into that later :P as for the brain there is a spinal column that connects to a split spinal disk that connects the lower head's neck and tail to the rest of the spine. meaning the large intestine has to swerve around the bones.
And for your next question, the upper head actually has better seeing than the lower head. The upper head acts more as a radar, able to smell, hear and see things most humans would miss. The lower head, however, is similar to humans in sight, smell, and hearing, it's jus the only head that can talk. Heliope wears glasses cause his lower heads are near sighted, sorta like me. :P

The stomach small intestine combo organ would need a really good seal to keep all the juices inside unless it's just like a snake slowly dissolving it's food.
It's almost funny to think that all waste comes out directly behind their head
Makes one wonder how bad the upper head's eyesight would be if it requires glasses as well.
A couple more questions: Are we going to see how their objects look since it'd be weird for tables and stuff to be exactly like ours and to continually bring food down under the table just to eat, unless they only eat standing up.
How would conjoined twins look among their species? Would it look like 1 torso with 1 head on top, three legs and two normal heads or look like normal but with a wider crotch area for the twins?

eh, maybe not like a snake. I mean snakes eat once a month and then do nothing for a long time as they digest x3 I might rethink that idea I had.
yeah, best get used to that. on the bright side, Kalasian toilets had a soft chin rest x3
well if an upper heads eyesight is not as good, their chances of becoming a Kalasian Ranger or a sniper in the military is slim. but sometimes it's just reading glasses.
Well, normal kalasian tables are like those low to the ground Japanese tables or special chairs with waist high tables for arm rests. Otherwise, they do have to bring food under the table to eat I they sat at a normal table
as for conjoined twins, who knows.

It could still be like that, just a much faster way that doesn't make them go more than a day or two without food. Heck they could probably need to eat normally just to have food in their 'stomach' if they get stranded somewhere or go on a long trip without stopping as a survival trait from before the modern day. Does make one wonder if Kalasians get fat or not since I'm thinking of making one as my persona/fursona and want to give a little pudge, since I have that, but am unsure if they get chubby or not.
Would make for a funny situation when a non-Kalasian walks in on them.
Must be pretty rare then if it's not reading glasses.
That would make for some pretty awkward dinner conversations if eating with non-Kalasians and the non-Kalasian isn't sure how to talk to a sitting Kalasian at a normal sized table.
It would be kind of funny if the twins were two heads at the crouch and having to share everything else.

This gives me a lot to ponder.
The tail-hand looks really huge and heavy and awkward to me. I guess the tail must be much stronger and more muscular than it looks? And if that's the case, it could be a natural weapon. I wouldn't want to get punched by it!
As a race of herms, I'm surprised they even have a concept of gender roles -- but I guess that could be something they picked up from the other races they've come into contact with. If you find your planet is now part of a galactic federation/empire/whatever, then there's obviously going to be a lot of cultural exchange and assimilation taking place. And if most of those species you're now in contact with have distinct genders, there could be a tendency to adopt that. It would also explain their relatively conventional (i.e. not alien-looking) clothing and uniforms.
For comparison I wouldn't mind seeing an illustration of one with a distinctly feminine or girly orientation, though. (I mean, more so than Valasa, too.)

actually, the artist drew the tail hand too big. they are supposed to be smaller http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18338903/ this is going to be remedied soon.
as for gender, well they are gender fluid but we put them under herm since they technically do have the ability to do both roles of what the male and female reproductive systems can do. thing is that they don't have genitalia, they have a special gland in their mouths that release the sperm into their spit when they orgasim. all the partner has to do is swallow it into a 3rd tube that leads to where the eggs are. otherwise, they can just spit it out and don't need to worry about having babies. they do have an anus and slit for #1 and#2 near the base of the tail if you do ask, btw.
and you could have a point on the cultural exchange idea too. Heliope, for example, is more liking to humans himself. heck, if you notice the patch on his arm, he's an avid EVE player, a proud member of the Caldari State.

speaking of Tail-hands http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22630450/ no more big ol' dumb hand :D
well, kalasian hugging kalasian is fine. they either bump heads or nuzzle. though for non kalasians they like to keep their heads away from the other aliens junk and do a 'side hug'. as for furniture, yes http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23085622/ though they can use 'human' furniture as well if they have no option, it's just a little inconvenient when ordering food or soup.
