This is me in my Napoleonic cuiraisser uniform, from my military re-enactor days. (I do in fact have the steel cuiraisse, but not the rest- never got around to finishing this uniform.)

Ah yes...
The Husaria of Poland.
Been a favorite of mine for over 20 years, actually.
Oddly, its come up quite a bit lately.
I have plans to make a full harness for myself at some point, and have been collecting pics for construction details for months.
Theres someone on the Armour archive thats planning winged hussar personas for herself and her husband, and asking around for armourers who make the anime style cuirraisse, helmet and pauldrons.
("Anime" is actually the correct term for a breastplate thats heavily articulated...its several hundred years old, so it long predates any application to Japanese animation.)
I actually did draw some griffons as winged hussars a long time ago- in my "Price of honor" universe, Poland and the Grand Ducky of Lithuania are populated with a fair number of what are called mythicals- About 4 or 6 furry races derived of mythological creatures.
Griffons are one...Though I never actually got around to defining the rest.
I always assumed at least one draconic race, and I think pegasus and unicorn based.
But the story got shelved for lack of time, and my own drawing skills were pretty poor back then, so I couldn't do the story real justice.
Sadly, my own tastes and knowledge base have changed since, so I am unlikely to revisit that world.
