This was made for my nephew whom is one of my closest family members, him, my older sister or his mother and I have been pushing through life for as long as I can remember, mainly us three on our own for a greater portion of our lives, but the main gist is, were all quite close.

Now my nephew who is wheelchair bound, is getting older and is frequently going out on his own or with his friends, like the protective wolf that I am, I get a lil worried since I did help take care of the kid for a greater portion of his life, but one can’t hold a child’s hand forever so, instead I did with a lil research and study and created this particular amulet. Since my nephew’s personality reminds me that of a dragon, I had a lil bit of dragon felt theme for his gift.

It is made using the following
Black obsidian volcanic glass tuned into an arrowhead
Polished (real) red coral beads
14 karat gold plated beads
Pure copper molded beads
Tied with a black leather cord

(i would also like to note that creating these is exceptionally long and difficult, since the holes had to be drilled and re sized as well as wrapping the lines and such, this was a simpler design but others are soon to follow)

I will try to keep this short but please know that I am looking at my entire library of stone information which is of a fair size since I have had quite a fair amount of time to look and a passionate drive to search and find such tomes of wonderful information. In fact the information I have on each is quite extensive, so, I will be focusing on what I mainly intended for this particular amulet along with possible negative effects.

Each item has a very special meaning and combined create a strong item of protection

Black obsidian Arrow head Elements; Earth, Fire

The arrow head is made from a form of black obsidian which we should all know is volcanic material that cooled so rapidly it formed into a fine crystalline glass. Now there are many different types of obsidian and each with its own property along with those of plain obsidian.

Black obsidian in this fashion is meant to be used as a stone of protection capable of eliminating powerful negative energies in oneself and ones environment. It can be used to create a kind of protective shield that helps one remain centered when faced with negative energies, also protecting one from that which could bring both mental and physical harm.

It is also been known to balance and seal ones auric energy field, cleansing disharmony and negative attachments, my nephew is a serious technology and computer user, he is always in some kind of technological energy field, so in a sense I’m also giving him the stone so as to keep him grounded. Since such fields can interrupt ones aura.

Black obsidian however can be negative in the fact that it is also known to bring up ones past and negative thoughts and feelings, it’s been known to bring hidden emotions and fears to the surface, and connecting one to their darker side, the process of this can be quite violent or turbulent that much like an erupting volcano. However these is so that one can face these issues, and overcome sealed depths so that one can move on and grow, it brings change which can be difficult, but necessary, in this it helps one actually integrate ones dark side, and untapp hidden abilities.


Red Coral elements: Water, Akasha (no clue yet)

I choose red coral at first due to needing a red bead since he would no doubt be a red dragon in spirit.

When worn so as to be plainly visible, it is meant to be used for protection, particularly against “the evil eye” demons, furies, succubi, incubi, and phantasma, among other ills. It can also guard against accidents, acts of violence poison, theft, possession, and sterility, the last part especially in women, most importantly if given to a child as a gift, it is said to ensure future health. Some say that placing a piece of coral in a Childs room to protect him or her from such evils and ills.

There is also a Hindu belief that the ocean is the home of human souls after death, and so coral is considered a powerful amulet for the living in fact some legends have been known to have coral placed on the deceased to prevent evil spirits from occupying it.

However many people believe that coral is more of a living item, since it is nether stone or plant, it was in fact alive and is the skeletal remains of a living oceanic being, as such, it is said that it loses all power when worked on my human hands, this is not necessarily true though, The more observed ideal is that if coral breaks for any reason when used in magic or rituals that then is when the magic is lost and that pieces should be returned to the ocean.

If you ever happen upon a piece of coral naturally or it is brought to you in a natural manner then you are quite fortunate indeed, give your thanks to whichever and take care.

Gold (14k gold plated beads) elements, Fire, Earth

I used gold mainly because my nephew is more dragon like if I were to fursonify him, and gold is often associated with the dragonic race, but mainly as a popular belief, yet gold has its uses in this amulet as well.
Plain gold can be worn as a guardian what with its own set of abilities, such as power, healing, protection. In fact, gold crucifixes worn by Christians today, is actually a surviving custom of ancient pagans.

A very magically potent metal utilized to lend its energy to rituals and the like, worn during magic gold enhances one’s ability to rouse and send forth power. Most often best suited as an all-purpose conductor of stones subtle energies, it even is used to conduct electricity for many computers and machines, but due to its cost and rarity it is not so greatly used. But for the most part gold revitalizes ones energies and magnifies the power of most gemstones more selectively gold intensifies the energy of fire wind and storm element stones and helps stimulate the energies of earth and water stones. Thus another good reason for including it <tailwags).

Gold is also utilized to promote wisdom, for this purpose though it is not carried but given to another with no conditions. This is done to bring illumination to the giver, but also worldly knowledge and understanding of manifestation. It stimulates imagination, passion and sexuality.
Explains why it is such a sought after item.

Copper elements; Water, Earth

Now copper working much like gold as a conductor and magnifier, copper has also been used for healing, much lore is noted for coppers healing attributes, such as bringing balance the bodies polarity or the flow of projective and receptive energies, aid in travel sickness, rheumatism, arthritis, and many other painful conditions. HOWEVER, I do not wish to note al the healing effects and concepts that it is known for unless that is what the amulet is meant for, and even so, I do not wish to say that anything I make from copper is meant to act as a substitute for far more useful medicines and medicinal aids.

Copper is also known to lend itself for playful creativity and promoting a sense of justice, works well with giving energy a sense of direction, for luck, love, and Protection once more.

Copper once again being a great conductor, but not just for stones, it works well for the flow of many different types of energy throughout the body, such as the nervous system and brain functions, however there can be negative aspects to this such as a release of frustration, tension buildup and nervousness.

Copper is known to carry stone energies the way a wire carries electricity, in fact copper works with any earthy stone with which it is used, the only major exceptions are meteorites and tektites which can create discordant or overly intense energy fields when combined with copper.

Copper does tend to oxidize and create a slight build up, but this does not lessen its effect but in fact can actually enhance it. Still, to keep it looking new a lil polish and maintenance never hurt either.
