Somewhere in the future...
"So here you are again." - Simon smiled and leaned on the wall near Charlie. - "Every time on the same spot, looking at the same landscape. What do you see there?"
Charlie stayed quiet.
"You know, what you are doing, is really stupid: you keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and in the end you're wondering, why is this happening. I think that your greatest mistake is to lie to everyone, especially to yourself. But you never learn, huh? All your attempts of fixing things, are just making them worse. Isn't it time to stop this bullshit? Nice gun by the way."
There was a silence for a few moments.
"Honestly, you're totally useless. Think about it: the goddess is dead, our world is going to its end, and you can't do anything about it. Come what may, is that your plan?"
Simon chuckled, while Charlie kept watching the sunset.
"That's actually selfish of you. Well you never appreciated the good things you have, anyway. Just look around: you've got an awesome academy, a delicious food, some warm clothes and shoes, a ton of devices. The list can go around the planet and hit my back in the end. But noooo, here you are, dreaming about some stupid shit. You know, there are people who have much more serious problems than your whines. You saw it by yourself. Some of them had a difficult childhood, and some of them are struggling to survive. And here you are, unhappy for some silly reasons. How long are you planning to keep going like that?"
There was a short pause.
"You do realize that you also have some responsibilities, don't you? The work at the theater is not a joke, it's a serious task that you signed up for, and you can't just leave it because you suddenly changed your mind. That's selfish too. Tell me, what's the point of all this? Why are you here? Do you hope that somebody will come?."
After eating a cherry, and spitting the seed on the road, Simon turned around and made a few steps towards the door. "But of course!" - he slapped his forehead. - "How could I forget, that everyone has a sixth sense, which will tell them exactly what's going on here. They are probably rushing and stumbling already. Yeah, sure. That sounds pretty logical. But what is this?" - Simon started to look in every direction with concern - "There is nobody here. How strange. Maybe they are late, or just... forgot." - he grinned. - "I think the last one suits you most. But let's see, maybe your friends are already here." - Simon opened the door - "Well what do you know..."
