Never heard of these books, but I see a dragon on the cover. o:

It took some time for Midnight to convince me to pick up the first book in the series. Which I did eventually. Read a few chapters so far; its fun and fairly easy on the eyes to read (if you can get over the unimaginative naming system).

Unfortunately, I already have a long-standing obsession with the Temeraire series, so any other dragon series I pick up these days feels quite pale in comparison. Though I'm still willing to give new stories a chance to prove me wrong!

Everything really does feel fairly pale after reading Temeraire. I just love how much effort Novik puts into the authenticity of the history and realism of it. Makes it feel like an actual historical account. Also makes it fun to watch historical youtube videos and troll comment threads by treating the books as an actual source. XD

I warn you now if you get into the series the feels WILL tear you to shreds. Tui is a master of messing with her fans' feelings T.T

Wings of Fire is one of my favorite series

Kills me that the next book doesn't come out until late July.

I was told that the series gets better in latter books? And that the first one isn't as spectacular as the rest?

I personally like them all, but they do kind of get better later. The 1st one definitely has a lot more deaths then the rest though.

I love the Temerarie series! Been reading it since book 1 in 2006! Am I the only one who is sad the series is over? And sad at how it ended?

I bought Victory of Eagles...then refused to read it at all, or the rest of the series. I was afraid of the direction the author was taking with the characters so didn't read in fears of getting my dreams crushed. I'm hopeless like that.

You were not wrong. Lots of things happened that made me sit back and say... what the hell? Or, How convenient. Don't finish it. Have good memories of the first few. Worth more than the extremely disappointing final battle and wrap up in the last book. So disappointing. But will remain one of my favorite series.

WINGS OF FIRE!?! I FREAKING LOVE THAT SERIES!!! I have books 1 through 9 in my room, the books get so much better later on WOF best. series. EVER!!! I am not emberased to admit that I cried 6 times in the series u HAVE to read at least to book 4

I've read about the Wings of fire, not the novel's! But graphic novels, I'm word blind so it's much easier with graphic novels for me! What an awesome adventure those dragons has, epic and dangerous. But as long their have each other, they can overcome!:-D
