Who knows why they lay flat, the rest of the figure looks good though. Although, since her left hand is curving ever so slightly towards her right hand it looks a like her fingers are being pulled back towards her knuckles. Otherwise, her hands would be on backwards if her palms are pointing towards each other. The shape of the arms a legs look correct though, and the detail in the fur pattern, clothes, and accessories is nice as well. (Not trying to sound mean or anything, I just like to give and receive constructive criticism)
