"Wolves always flock to sheep, their maws rasping for fresh, bloody sustenance. And shepherds are only too happy to surrender their herd for the promise of easy profit." -Vingorbe'iel, daemon of corruption.
So, um, yeah. A demon. Not anthro in the traditional sense, but demons are always based off of a combination of humans and animals (usually mammals such as goats and the like). And, yes, I know it's very red. Right now I've got a couple of projects in the works that are not only more colorful (at least, easier on the eyes) and anthro, so I can post 'em here. And, by the way, the reasons I posted this on here are: 1) I needed an excuse to put that quote I wrote up with the pic, as I forgot to on DA, and 2) it's just anthro enough to put on here, and I needed something else in my gallery.

Well, thank you. I do a lot of research into them (big shocker) and it is very common in art history to see them drawn like that. Basically a very obvious and simple application of the concept of "man too much like a beast."
Any other thoughts on the piece? I know it's not very good, lacks perspective, and is waaay too fuckin' red, but any critiques help!
Thanks again, anyway.

This is what I was talking about: a lack of perspective. I realized not long after I made this piece how much I was trying to stay away from doing anything but 2d, since I haven't practiced enough doing perspective work. I'm trying to do more of it now though, so I hope to get better. And I'll try to do more shading in the future, but I do mostly traditional art right now, and I occasionally am limited by my resources in regards to shading (i.e., not enough color variations. Damn thee Prismacolor and Faber-Castell! Damn thee!).
Anyway, thanks again for the criticism, even if I kinda pushed you to it. And I do agree, I liked how the teeth came out; I plan to use that style again in some future pieces. Again, thanks!

Ah, yes, well, you could say I'm bit more than a dabbler . . .
Hrm *cough* otherkin *cough* *cough*
...
Anyway, I'm glad you like it! I still love drawing stuff like this, but I hope to make it a bit smoother in the future. And with more color. But only time will tell...
Anyway, thanks again for the fave!
