I drew this picture about the same time as I did the Adlerian Phoenix Merchant Prince. Whereas the Phoenix type of Adlerians focus on luxury resources and services, the Copper types focus more on common, everyday and mundane things. Providing the basic resources, merchandise and services of the Adlerian kingdom, as well as being more populous than the Phoenix typs, the Copper Adlerians provide the essential backbone to the kingdom's economy.
Resources the Adlerian Coppers delve on are the majority of agriculture, fishing and the like. They also work at services like inns, hotels, restuaraunts, low level government positions, clerks, grocers and stores selling the basic needs and wants of the people. At first glance one may think that one can not gain much wealth from that, yet they do well in such things. The Adlerian Coppers are no nonsense and practical. Often the save and invest in sound investments and slowly, yet steadily, increase their wealth over the years, as well as ages as the families of old continue to increase their wealth over the centuries.
Adlerian Coppers tend to wear practical and simple clothing. The merchant princes from this type of Adlerian tends to wear simple capes and cloaks of velvet or cotton. Their shirts and pants tend to be cotton and velvet as well with simple or no designs and patterns whatsoever. The patterns used tend to be thin stripes or small dots in a uniform layout. Their boots and gloves are of simple yet shiny leather. Their armor, if any is worn, is a simple set of vambraces, simple and light metallic cuffs around the tops of their boots for mainly decoration, as well as a chest armor of medium armor with light ornamentation. The metals in their armor tends to be brass, copper as well as a light to bright steel.
The designs on their clothing and armor tend to resemble in some way the coinage of Imperial Adleria, a coin with six sides, a hole in the middle and lines seperating the coins into for sections with each listing the denomination and image of the holy emperor. The reasoning for the four sections is in case it needs to be broken into sections for more exact change. Though such a practice is no longer common and the design remains due to historical and classic heritage reasonings. Another type of coin used in Adleria is a simple square shaped coin that acts like a penny or cent in American currency. The coins and name of the currency in the Kingdom of Adleria is called the Talon. The reason for this is due to the coin's sections resembling a talon whenever broken off the main coin.
In this picture, the Adlerian Copper Merchant Prince wears a chest armor with a stylized brazier on his chest. It is common for Adlerian Copper Merchant Princes to have such a design on their chest for it resembles the braziers they have burning as they work hard into the night when most other merchant princes in the kingdom tend to cease working. On his head is a makeup like marking of a phoenix feather. Having phoenix feathers painted on one's forehead is a sign of piety praciticed by some Adlerians due to their style of faith. Not wholly common, but one practiced by a tenth or so of the population. The coat of arms on the side of the picture in the upper corner is a common style of coat of arms among the Copper Merchant Princes.
The coat of arms, though very similar to others differs slightly from each other. The differences range from number of coins at the bottom as well as the tassels at the bottom and the stripes in the banner section on top. The same can be said for the stylized braziers shown on the chest armors and / or shirts. The slight differences between each signifies what noble house each one is from. Some server noble houses and others lead them as Copper Adlerians, like every other Adlerian types, have noble houses. The colors used help tell whether they serve (red) or lead (green).

Brass types provide a variety of functions. For the area of defense, they provide civil defense or, in other words, they tend to be the police role. They are not the only ones that act in that role, but they do much nonetheless. Also, they make great smiths and are active in industry. Whereas the Bronze types do heavy manufacturing and smithing, the Brass types do light industry and smithing, manufacturing common items like cookwear, souvewear, jewelry and other things many use in everyday life. Bronze types do heavy things like motor vehicles, heavy machinery, etc.
Brass types resemble a bald eagle much like the Bronze types. Only the bodies of Brass types tend to be lithe and athletic (like a simmer or runner) whereas the bodies of Bronze types are more built and ripped. Brass types have find and fair features and some are well enough to show up in advertisement, like the kind seen at stores like the Gap or in high end fashion magazines. Their heads are narrow and sleek, with eyes that tend to be almond to diamond in shape. Their beaks have a small chin and are not as long as most Adlerians. They have higher than normal cheekbones. Their necks are the tenth thickest out of the twelve types of Adlerians. Their average height would rank fifth out of hte twelve.

The types that tend to be the most scholarly like, as in well educated and / or teachers and professors, tend to be the Gold types. The Gold types tend to be from the oldest and well respected families, nobles and the like and are ridiculously well edutated to the point of using a flourishing and difficult script that most other classes struggle with on a daily bases for reading.
As for the magic, all Adlerians are able to use magic up to a point. Some more than others and most able to do simple minor magics. Every class is capable of becoming a practiced user of magic of various types and degrees. Even normal soldiers are able to use magic in mid combat for defense, attack, controlling, healing and others. Many also like to use weapons and / or armor that are either charmed, blessed or some other effect to some degree. For a comparrison, imagine characters from Naruto fighting, but in a more samurai and less ninja theme, as well as using their weapons more often and their magic not so much. Sorta like that. As for pure magic / wizard / sorcerer and whatnot, there are not many and they tend to be either in the priesthood, healers working on extreme cases in hospitals or hermits that live a mostly lonely or secluded life keeping peace and watch on the natural order of things.
The magic used by the different types of Adlerians varies for each type specializes in different magics. With work one may be able to do any magic, but most tend to favor the natural magics of their types. Gold Adlerians have a natural affinity to see truth and the ones from the higher ranking families can see nothing but truth and make excellent judges. It is hard to lie to a Gold Adlerian and impossible for to lie to one that actively learns their craft. They also are capable of learning frost, stone and flame magics. The Phoenix types of Adlerians are natural prodigies at flame magics as well as the ability to charm through dialogue and speechcraft. Silver are impressive at stone, wind and frost. Iron are the best at defensive magics as well as metals. So on and so forth. The best possible magic user would be from the Platinum class of Adlerians. Platinum Adlerians have all the positive qualities of every other type of Adlerian and none of their weaknesses. Besides the holy royal family, wherin every member is a Platinum Adlerian, the chance for one from the normal population of Adlerians around the world is about one for every 2.5 million. In the world there are about 736 million Adlerians around the world with 85 percent living within the Kingdom of Adleria.

wow...
you know, you should pour all this into a separate Google Doc, maybe call it the Adleripedia? I dunno :)
Any rate, Brass caste kind of makes sense seeing that Sean is a reaper. He's actually half-bred; father was a bald eagle with Native American heritage that legend has it was descended from thunderbirds. Mother was osprey, coming from a long line of fisherbirds. Most of Sean's appearance comes from his father, though the mottled/banded wings and tail give away his osprey ancestry. Excellent graduate student and competent combatant, though kind of sucky at wizard stuff.
