Samson Catches a dragon
Samson and Hosho where their scarfs for two reasons. one is because it's the symbol of their clan, the other is because it's not just a scarf. It can be used as many things, like a bag, parachute, and a net or rope to constrict their target. Samson puts that feature to use when he saw Holiday flying around his training grounds, the scarf extends and coils Holiday, sending him t the ground, stepping on his tail to stop that from moving, Samson now has Holiday all to himself.
