Way back at the Islington furmeet a girl approached me and asked if I wanted to create a cat girl character for this Furry Radio Station website banner to promote my artwork. I said sure though admittedly I didn't think I was going to go all out on this. But I did because I wanted to do a good job and this was the end result. I actually had a lot of fun doing this, especially coloring it....though I need to practice painting painting instead of cell shading. It's all I can do right now. @_@ Um....the character doesn't really have a name I think....and the reason why she has a steering wheel is because she supposedly hijaked a car. In the radio banner, there's suppose to be a car behind her.....it would actually be interesting to see when it's done. This is image will also be used on flyers to promote the station at Anime North, so maybe some of you guys would see it. Hopefully it'll have my name and website on it. Haha Enjoy!

Pretty spiff, although I'll tell you right now I really hate that gray you did strips all over with. To me it makes it look as if you simply missed colouring those spots and it's just the gray back layer showing through, especially on places like the orange.
Besides that, though, it's a really fun pose with good, well, everything besides the gray.
I'll be sure to look out for that card at Anime North. Are you going this year, or are finances pressing?

Grey? Are you talking about the highlights and shading on her clothes? Or the acutal lineart? I know the lineart quality is pretty crap but I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. All the colors on her body was put there on purpose. Now some of the colors might have looked different to me on my lap top screen but now that I'm looking at a desktop screen, some colors seem more duller...but I can inform you, I colored over everything. There was no grey layer that I just erased shapes out of on top of it so it would show. And I wasn't planning to go to Anime North at all. I'll be home by the time that happens. They only told me a couple days ago that they were going to use the picture on flyers for their radio station.
Naw, naw. I know you coloured it all on purpose, but the grey still looks 'bleh' to me when used to shade such things like orange. I was saying it gives the same impression, knowing that you chose to do it that way.
The line art would hardly be noticeable on any sort of printed material like what they would be using it for. really only showing a visible black line where it needs it, and only implying it elsewhere. For just a straight art piece, though, could probably stand for a few digital touchups on the line art. It really gets very thin in a few places, like the top of her shoulder, or just in places where it didn't separate well from the white when you scanned it.
P.S. Firefox is retarded and tries to correct my 'Grey' to 'Gray'.
