Two cubs sat in the living room, their minds occupied by the game in front of them. "I got the red shell!" said Alex, the nine-year-old gray cub. "You better not get in front of me!" He wove his kart around on screen as much as he could in the final lap, his diaper crinkling from his excited movement. He struggled to keep from being knocked into the lava by the big smashy blocks.

"Nuh-huh!" said the four-year-old in the floor in front of him. "I gotsa good driver!" His own gameplay wasn't as good as Alex's, but Cooper's kart was definitely keeping up.

The finish line was just up ahead. Alex saw Cooper's kart shoot out ahead of his, and he fired off his red shell. The shell beelined for Cooper's kart and spun it out of control for a few seconds. "No fair!" said Cooper as he struggled to regain control.

Alex smiled as he pressed on the throttle, but then a jump landed him smack into a smasher. His kart sank down into the lava. "No!" he said as the little cloud dude fished him out of the fiery lake, but by the time he was back on the track, Cooper had already zoomed past him.

The little fox cub's kart crossed the finish line, and he let out a whoop. "Yay! I win!" He got up and started dancing around.

Alex rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, I think we need a break anyway."

"Yous just sayin' that cuz I won!" said Cooper.

"Nuh-huh!" said Alex. "I wanna break! Besides, I need a new diaper anyway, and I bet you do, too."

Cooper shook his head. "I dun need new diapees!"

This prompted Alex to get up and check Cooper's diaper. "Yeah, you do. C'mon, I'll go get my dad and after that we'll play s'more." He took Cooper's hand and led him out of the living room toward the workroom so they could both get changed. He hoped this wouldn't take too long. He needed to get back to the game so that he could show that fox up for beating him...
