I think the background looks very cool and detailed, and does the lighting and mood justice, but it doesn't quite fit to scale with the characters.
The character on the left looks fine with the background, but the one on the right seems very small and generally out of place because of their placement and size (unless I am mistaken and these are micro/macro characters).
