Since I did this character before, I skipped the "figuring out personality/physiology" step and went straight to thumbs of the same idea in four different angles.

Lincard chose the first option. I will be doing a back pose for my next commission!

Looking good - just remember the arms are more horizontally placed not so much stacked vertically

Yep, a single rearward pointing talon from each heel (they curve downward and are used primarily for stabilisation when covering rough terrain).

I applied the changes to the back/arms, and have a little sumthin'-sumthin' on those heels. ;)

Nope, everything is looking spot on, kind Sir. Just a question for ya though, the end of his tail, is it flat because it's against the ground?

No, the tail is another grey area for me. Can you tell me more about what the tail should look like?

Ah, fair enough. Actually it's very plain and simple. What you've got there is pretty much perfect except it should just taper off naturally at the end. On a Vanguard the tail just serves to offset the upper body weight when it comes to balance. It's not even prehensile, but it is reasonably flexible.

Absolutely groovin' on the colouring you've given him with the lighter shade on the parts that need it. Marvelous. And you've flipped the pic horizontally as well?
