Looking at things one doesn't like just so they can whine about by them is just something people can't seem to resist doing these days...
I also love the people that let fan behavior and/or content "ruin" something for them. That's not the fans ruining it, that's all on the person who lets it.

I adore this.
Those expressions are truly iconic of this pair. Old slyboots and his excitable soul-mate. (Oh wow, the eyes on these two!)
As always I’m in awe of your talent for texturing, and lighting. Their fur is every bit as real as in the film, and the silkiness of the sheets makes this scene feel all the more real.
I’ve been studying the picture for a while, but I’d be a liar if I said I understand what’s going through Judy’s mind. Is she experiencing fear or regret over her intimate relationship with Nick? I’m not able to understand what Nick is doing with his phone either.
Re the Zootopia/Zootropolis shipping. I can’t get enough of images like this, and I don’t see the harm in the shipping. Sometimes the owners of toons dislike people taking liberties with their characters, but others enjoy knowing that their audience has connected emotionally with them. Disney themselves hinted near the end of the film that there was possibility of romance between these two. Nick: “You know you loveme” Judy: “Do I know that? Yes, yes I do.” That makes me think that the shippers are only following the direction the film’s creators have already set. (It would only be different if Nick & Judy’s character designs were based on real people).

Whoa! Thanks a lot for such detailed kind words!
Well... The scene is too simple, but I tried to show all those contradictions between shippers and haters of their relationship. Disney made something as deep as Inside out again. They both have had a serious mental pains from their childhood. They lived with it during all their life and unexpectedly helps to each other to go through it. This is amazing feeling that might... No, that must let them to become more than just friends. Especially after all troubles that they have gone through in the movie. This is the begin of very strong relationship. Undoubtedly.
And this intimate moment shows that the good girl from a good family realized now that she had grown up. There are no parents, no brothers and sisters nearby. Just absolutely new guy. She don't know what to do now. There are mix of different emotions: happiness, fear, love and even disgust. I think she should be alone some time. To understand this begin of new life

Detailed artwork deserves to be admired, and with good artwork it's a privilege to offer compliments.
Thanks for the explanation. Wow. I hadn't realised that this piece doesn't just possess great finesse in making the scene visual (
Shvall is right about how you've detailed the sheets to clearly show how they're on Nick & Judy's bodies - I've seen other artists make very poor results on textures). You've based the whole image idea on such intense and complex emotions. It creates a whole element of depth that I hadn't recognised, and it makes perfect sense.
You're the first artist I've seen to explore this idea. Plenty of others have drawn or written about Judy & Nick becoming physically intimate, but I haven't before seen or read of this inspiring moment when Judy reflects on her and Nick's initial time of passion. It's thought-provoking to say the least.
What's going through old Slyboot's mind though, and what's he doing with his phone? I've read though the other posts made so far, and he's still a bit of a mystery to me. Clearly he's not so unsettled by the revelation as Judy, it looks to me like he's basking in the afterglow. I'm glad though that his eyes are where they should be; focused on his soul mate.

Wow! I can't stop smiling reading it. It is so cool to hear such kind words!
As about Judy, please, don't being hurt! This is just the complicated coctail of a very different feelings: love, fear, happiness, disgust and pleasure. I think she feels it very first time in her life. And she need to be alone a few minutes now to realize all of these. I believe she'll understand now that the new life has come. Life of the grown up good and clever girl who find the most intimate friend in a whole world. The friend who helped her to believe in herself, and the friend which she helped to belive in himself...

I've just come across this during a Google image search. Sadly someone has used your artwork without permission.
