As I've stated today earlier, Yveltal and Xerneas, two of the three major protagonists of the upcoming legendaries-focused webcomic series, were undergo some aesthetic changes.
Although what exactly changed is not really that much and it's easy to miss. So what exactly did affect them at all?
The anatomy.
To be more precise, Yveltal and Xerneas were the very first legendaries I've designed as characters back then in that accidental crossover comic with Kingdom Hearts quite a significant while ago. For that I sorta......went TOO much to my own way and entirely ignored their body shapes from the official sources. You could see HOW CARTOONY they were in comparison. Fortunately the later legendaries to be added to the cast went way more loyal so they don't need to get though this.
While it's only good to apply my own style to better distinct the characters regarding their personalities, anatomy is something I shouldn't never take for granted. So as it's never too late, I've retouched their looks without taking sight of official artwork sheets.
So in resume what changed is:
1 - The stripes pattern is now entirely based on the regular yveltal. The "tuff" of fur in her head is now red instead white in result.
2 - The claws are now zigzag-shaped, again, like the real thing.
3 - Neck got shorter, there were times I've drawn her with a long neck. My mistake.
4 - Wings' shape got more redefined. The "feathers tuff" was supposed to under the wings and not in the bend part oops. Fixed too.
5 - Now yes, looks like a Yveltal. She didn't lose her usual expression so all good :3
That's all, Xerneas is next eventually!

Sigh
This is not personal gender belief or anything. This is content of a webcomic about legendaries I'll start sometime this year. This is a character. THAT happened to self identify as female cuz plot.
If you really need to know, personally I see all legendaries are genderless. So why I pick gender for the characters? Huh i dunno maybe cuz wont be too boring? Personality wise jazz.
This is just a dumb soon to be comic, not to be taken seriously. And also I like to break stereotypes so might be not too surprising if I pick stuff people don't expect.
