And it's complicated to say... It varies a lot =P
Preparing the entire scene might take a few hours....
But once the scene is ready, making renders is a bit faster...
It takes me between 2 minutes to one hour to pose the characters and prepare the camera for each render.... =P (If Opal is holding her boob up so her fingers are indenting her skin, I need to manually sculpt her skin being pushed by her fingers, using Zbrush... If Opal is sitting on the floor and I want to make her butt look "squishy", It's the same story... I also need to constantly make adjustments to her body, depending on her poses... That's all nice, but what I really dislike doing, is placing tiny people between her fingers... It's so hard to do that perfectly =P (Their models are pretty much just floating around, you need to move them in the X,Y,Z axis, and place them between Opal's fingers.. PERFECTLY) =P
Then I hit the render button (So the low quality previow is "transformed" into a higher quality render) That used to take around 5 minutes, but I recently increased the resolution (because of my patreon page) and the render times are much slower now.... :/ (I REALLY should have checked that before promising higher resolution renders!)
After that, it's Photoshop postwork, it can take somewhere between 5 minutes to 30 minutes per render.... Close up shots take a long time to finish, because Opal's skin is just a texture, like in every other 3D model... And close up shots look horribly pixelated and low quality... I usually need to rebuild the entire image XD
