I am glad it is the case for you. I feel that I would not be able to tolerate such an accident, due to my history as a pianist.

I used to be an aircraft mechanic. I am a fine carpenter and a race car mechanic. losing my fingers was a MASSIVE blow to me. it took me several months to be able to get near a saw.. just hearing a saw or seeing someone cutting something would send me cowering. but I can still move my fingers just as I did before. not QUITE as well but I still can. I doubt you would have to give up the piano from such an injury, but it would take you a few months to adjust. as for the piano, what style? jass, modern, boogie woogie, classical? I cant play but I love a good piano. they can make me dance and they can relax me into forgetting the world exists. if you still play, I would love to hear it. if you have any videos up that is. just remember. if you ever DO lost your fingers.. it isnt the end of the world. you can adapt and overcome as long as you try to. if you tell yourself that you are ruined, then you are, but not by injury. you are ruined by bad attitude. all the same, I hope you never have to know that pain. it isnt somethung you can immagine. and it isnt something you wold ever want. I dont know how I would of done if I didnt have friends and familly supporting me, and great people like you sending me well wishes.

I appreciate your words of advice. As for piano, I play mostly just classical and video game themes, very rarely anything "hip". I started nigh seven years ago. I am glad that you are able to tolerate difficult times and look toward the future, rather than dwelling on what you could have done differently on the past. (by the by, how much did something like this cost?)

3 years of military service. the vegerans administration paid for them.think they are around 10k per finger...and I would rather listen to debusy and davorak than many "hip" artists... though billy joel and Mika are both awesome

well, I have to. if I cried about it and treated it like the end of the world, my own attitude would ruin my life. but if I have a possitive attitude, then I can just go on with life
