Kárr: A ranger who once trained with Hrokr, Kárr was bitten by a werewolf and infected with the curse of lycanthopy during one of his own quests. Isolating himself in the wilderness to avoid harming those whom he cared for, he struggled to control his transformations and heightened instincts. After meeting Orsus the werebear, the two formed an attraction to each other, fueled by their common affliction, with Orsus being an experienced mentor to the young lycanthrope. Now with mastery over his shape-shifting abilities, Kárr has become an independent adventurer, though he returns occasionally to the Ranger's Guild, offering his services while embracing society, despite his wolf-blood affliction.
Orsus: A woodsman within a small province inside the vast wilderness, Orsus was stricken with the werebear's curse at a young age, and has grown to control its effects. Able to transform at will, though always forced to by the light of the full moon, he is nevertheless docile in his bear-form. Mostly friendly, he seeks only a comfortable, happy existence, though he occasionally still craves adventure. On these rare quests, he is joined by his young partner, Kárr. Upon further meeting Hrokr and Brokul during one of their travels, Orsus enjoys spending time with the two adventurers in tandem with his werewolf companion.
