This is his lovely fjordling character Gallows Pony who is just so fun to draw. And I just had to include his very cute little dog Cricket. I made Cricket a little bigger that she actually is so we could actually see the tiny little darling.
I kept thinking of Paul Simon’s song, “Call me Al!” while drawing this.
If you’ll be my bodyguard, I can be your long lost pal, I can call you Daddy, And Daddy, when you call me, You can call me Al!
(And yes I know those aren't the real lyrics but that's how I've always sung it!)

Without irony that is one of my favourite horse poses...I used to flip through magazines of stock horses and drool all over the big shiny, glossy ads with horses three-quarters-turned to show off their big haunches. XD And OMG, Cricket looks just like how she really does, this is SO DANG ADORABLE.

I love that song...it was inspired by Paul Simon going to a party and some stranger coming up to him and his wifed and being like "OMG Betty and Al! It's you!" and didn't let them get a word in edgewise XD So they played along and wrote a song about it.
