As he stepped into the soothing waters of the steaming hot spring, Evaron felt all of his stresses momentarily melt away. The young buck waded deeper into the small steaming pool and reflected on his previous encounter with the local mortals.
The life of a deity is thankless and tough, he thought to himself allowing his long flowing green mane to fall into the waters. Small pleasures must be indulged whenever the opportunity arises. The long strands of his bright green hair touched the water and glided across the surface and the buck contemplated the arrival of spring, a task that he alone had been charged with. It was his job to melt the snow caps, prepare to bring all plant life back to the valley and awaken all the critters from their winter slumber.
An exasperated sigh escaped from his green ringed snout, this had been a very long winter indeed, unfortunately the timing was completely out of his control and he wished he could just make the mortals understand this. The preparations were well underway, some plant life had already started to spring back, but it just wasn't enough for his devoted followers. Maybe if I didn't have to answer so many prayers per day, I would be able to do my job faster. He mused to himself silently, scowling as he submerged his head in the warm water, only his antlers remained above the surface.
Howdy all! Toxi here! So again I’ve pulled another all nighter (what’s new?) to finish off another art piece. This is my character Evaron and as the story above explains, he is a forest spirit who is in charge of preparing the forest for the change of seasons! The poor guy just can’t catch a break when it comes to the impatience of his mortal worshipers! (I can relate, I know a thing or two about impatient people waiting for you to do something ;)) Granted he is a bit of a lazy deity- brings it on himself ya know ;)
Hope you enjoy the arts!
