codylake is creating a story based off of the K-T extinction event, with a few survivors clinging to life after the impact. The main heroes will be a desperately wandering Dakataraptor and an intelligent Troodon. Surprisingly for a dinosaur-themed work, the enemy is an herbivore and NOT a carnivore -- though the fact that this isn't specifically aimed at children might explain that.
The Triceratops villain, tentatively presented above, possesses a color scheme based off of the red river hog, with the darker coloration meant to obscure some of his features and make him appear more intimidating. An older fellow, the fragile quills along his back have become rugged with age, and numerous scars cover his face and hide from previous life battles.
He also has developed an interesting diet -- since plants (at least ones that would sustain such a large animal) have mostly died out and have yet to recover from the impact, he survives by primarily scavenging and killing other animals and consuming their flesh. This is based off of the speculative theory that Triceratops (and other ceratopsians) possibly had omnivorous leanings like some modern herbivores. Since he is not meant to survive purely off of that diet, it's made him a lot more aggressive and unstable, partially due to the infectious sores around his mouth and leg.
Additionally, I decided to make his frill look flushed with blood, which would be a common occurrence for him -- due to constant rage and aggression, his frill is constantly that bright red color. From a story viewpoint, this would make him more threatening and intimidating; from a biological standpoint, this is definitely a contributing factor to the instability of this character.
For right now, only Cody and I have the right to use this character, unless changes are made.
