Anyway, though, this is a good piece. The graphite definitely adds some shading with a softness that helps add definition, while not making it too dark or overwhelmed, as it could have been if you used only inks. Nice bike. I'm glad I can't hear it though. My only critique is that the rear tire doesn't look very dark, at least in comparison to the rest of the bike. You may want to make it darker, like the seat, as I'm aware of few tires that aren't a pitch-black. Just a suggestion.

Regardless, though, nice piece. I envy your skills, good sir.

Thank you, and I love the detailed and thought-out comments you give. This bike is pretty quiet when it's idling, unlike my Harley, which will rattle windows.
I'm not sure if I will try to darken the tire or not. I shade with inks on occasion like this pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2267740 but haven't decided yet.

You're welcome. Hmm. well, for the shading, I personally would go with pencil. With "pen," the strokes are always as dark or light as ithey can be, and you can end up making something too 'dark' or too 'bright' just with a couple of errant marks. But that's my experience, and I'm pretty sloppy with lines, so "pen" may work better for you.

Oh, and on your old pics? Don't worry, I'll tear them limb-from-limb.

Yeah, the pencil would be too light and the ink too dark. What a dilema...

I'll point you in the right direction to the old pics if you wish but since I just posted 3 pics labeled 'old artz' I doubt it's necessary.
