I think the shorts+stockings combo fit rather well with his shirt. Full jeans may not be nessisary, but perhaps a different color shirt, as to not clash with his skin tone?

I have a terrible habit of keeping outfits close to the characters colors/tone. (it's more pleasing and easier on my eyes;;; )

When I get the free time to put him in more outfits (more likely plaid shirts!) I'll def try placing him in colors that pop.

To me, designing outfits is much harder than designing the character, because not only do you need to make something appealing, but it has to fit the characters personality and taste as well.
