APES ARE FUCKING AWESOME, GUYS.
Apes and primates in general do NOT get enough love. Why is this? Is it because OGM THEY LOOK TOO HUMAN? Because they're not mighty, noble hunters? Because they throw poop? Hey, at least they don't roll around in it.
They're gorgeous, intelligent animals, and hey, they can CAVE YOUR HEAD IN with one blow.

1924, a dynamometer--a scale that measures the mechanical force of a
pull on a spring--was erected in the monkey house. A 165-pound male
chimpanzee named "Boma" registered a pull of 847 pounds, using only
his right hand (although he did have his feet braced against the wall,
being somewhat hip, in his simian way, to the principles of leverage).
A 165-pound man, by comparison, could manage a one-handed pull of
about 210 pounds. Even more frightening, a female chimp, weighing a
mere 135 pounds and going by the name of Suzette, checked in with a

lol, I think people just find them creepy. Not necessarily because they're not 'furry' style, but because they're so much like us they're like ghosts. I absolutely love this piece though. I'm not a particular fan of chimps as they're sickly violent in a way that reminds me too much of humans in ways I don't like, lawl. But generally (primates) I like bonobos, gorillas, tamarins, squirrel monkeys etc. I agree, apes and monkeys just don't get enough attention. They're too neat :3
THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME! I WILL NEVER GET MY FILL OF PRIMATE ANTHROS! Everyone needs to do out and make one POST HASTE... because they are so utterly awesome. I love this guy.
When was living in Florida down near the keys there was this one islad they'd left a bunch of the old chimps from a movie filming on and they had gone rather feral. You couldn't canoe through the mangroves near it because they'd jump in your canoe and promply attempt to tear you limb from limb. People were always bitching about it being a waste of realestate to just leave them there and that they should all be shot and killed. My whole take is just leave of on the fucking island, that where they were abandoned in the first place. I can totally see a general chimp emerging and fighting back against the humans who try to reclaim the island... BWHWAHHA... can't pull a trigger when your arms been torn off and your now being BEATEN with it! BLAHBLAHBLAH holy shit just tell me to STFU... o.o
