My ball python has trouble getting around on some bedsheet materials. Bad traction.

Just a polyester/cotton blend. It was laid out mostly smooth, so there wasn't much of a texture for her to work with.

Thinking about it now-- this is somewhat baffling, since she has no problem with newspaper...

Her name is Shasta and she's almost 6 years old. Ball pythons are among the best snakes for beginners.

Atlas beetles are gorgeous! I personally don't prefer insects as pets, but I love how scorpions, tarantulas, beetles, [centi/milli]pedes look.

I've been wanting to get a ball python for a while. What breed is Shasta here anyways? I can tell she's of the yellow/gold persuasion, but the pattern of black looks like that 'spider' that I've heard about in some breeds.

No specific idea. I never really looked into it. Just a plain ol' reptile-pet-shop ball python, as far as I know.

Haha, that reminds me of when I tried to give my ball a swim in the (nonchlorinated) pool. The corns did just fine, swimmy swimmy, but Elf swam like a brick. Little bubbles coming out of her nostrils.

I have a ball python too! They're the most adorable and folks with a fear of snakes almost ALWAYS overcome it thanks to ball pythons.
