Snaps...?
Okay I have quite a few questions about these.
Why is one more than the other two? Who is stopping people from ripping these little characters off? Why not just take commissions for custom versions of these? What is a snap? Is theid mouth like... vertical? Why do they look like heartless from Kingdom Hearts? Are these a species you made up or found in some sci fi fiction of some sort because they look awesome. Alsothe last thing I have to say is more of a comment than a question.
You draw really good.
I just never understood "Adoptables" As they make hardly any sense to me and it seems like they were made for people who cant make their own characters which is kind of sad that we would allow for people to not flex their creative muscles and instead buy their sonas, ocs and such.
I'll take 50.
(Obvious joke is obvious they are absolutely adorable though and I just wanna hug em but they look like they might bite me!!.)

Okay I'm going to start off with
This is one of the rudest things I've seen said
But I'll disregard that and do my best to explain adoptables to you.
Everyone has their own style of designs and creating. It's not necessarily people who can't create OCs or sonas
It's people who love a design from an artist they follow/respect and want the chance to create a world for it.
"which is kind of sad that we would allow for people to not flex their creative muscles and instead buy their sonas, ocs and such"
Saying this is equal to
This person can't walk. But we sell wheelchairs
which is kind of sad that we would allow for people not to flex their physical muscles and instead buy a wheelchair
Not everyone can design. There are hundreds of thousands of different types of artists. Not all of them are concept artists.

I am sorry that you think what I said was rude! I apologize if I came off that way. And I can see where you are coming from. Everyone does have their own style of creating, you don't have to be able to draw to create an original character.
Anyone can do it. Whether it be a written description, a drawing, some people can go grab a free base and color it unless it is a made up species nobody ever heard of, and there are plenty of artists I know who would love to help some of these people. You can create an OC and then take it to an artist. I mean if you're gonna spend the money anyway why not get creative with the help of an artist?
I think that your comparison to disabled people needing wheelchairs is a bit of a false equivalency as, anyone can create a sona or oc (as I stated earlier, they don't need to be able to draw per se.) But someone who is disable really needs a wheelchair to get around if they don't wanna be carried around everywhere! I don't condemn those who buy adoptables and frankly the idea is starting to grow on me a bit! Though some of them tend to be recolors of the same base which irks me a little because at that point its just a money making scheme. But GobotRuts does it well! And I like their style and might one day buy something from them.
Thanks for the response to my many questions! I hope I was able to clear things up as best as possible!

WHOAHO that's a lot of questions but I will try to answer them the best that I can
I feel like I spent a little more time on that design, so I'm charging a lil more for it
There is absolutely nothing stopping anybody from totally ripping them off. I'm just counting on people being decent and coming up with their own ideas instead of making carbon copies of my work, or purchasing my designs if they want to redraw them. I myself don't really purchase adoptables so I can't tell you why they appeal to people. I do know that sometimes folks have trouble designing or just don't feel like making their own ocs sometimes. Or maybe they can TOTALLY DRAW and just really love a design they found from another artist! There's also a collectible aspect to characters and some people just want to build their collection.
Snaps are my own original creation. They're space cave dwelling creatures that use their vertical jaws to eat gems and minerals. Thank you very much for the compliment :)
That all being said the whole "this is my design donut steal" thing with adopts doesn't really make sense to me, I'm not really all that strict on people borrowing ideas or drawing inspiration from my art. I wouldn't hunt anybody down for copying my characters trait for trait but people would definitely find out about it and think less of you as an artist if you're obviously ripping off someone else's work.

Ah well! That all makes a lot of sense and thank you so much for answering all of my questions! You are as articulate as you are talented! I may buy some art from you but I am a bit more picky and more than likely would just ask for something custom if you are willing. These creatures are absolutely adorable ^^
Thank you very much! And no problem, if you ever decide you'd like something from me I do offer normal and custom adopt commissions on my main account http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22326594/
