I sketched and colored this after seeing one of these cars on the street, it was a red and black Corolla GT-S, which is essentialy the North American Sprinter Trueno.
I had to draw it with the original badge on the grill because I think its a better choice. The North American car has Corolla on the grill instead.
I have also seen the North American version of the Levin as well, but for some strange reason, the pop up lights of the GT-S/Trueno appeal to me more than fixed ones.
If I where to own one of these cars, it would have the paint job I drew it with.
I have no plans of shading this at any time.

If I owned the car, I'd paint it bronze/brown two tone. Bronze is my favorite metallic color so I would put it on any car I owned.
I watched the first three stages of Initial D recently, I have loved this car much longer than I knew about the show though. I found the show interesting, but I realy thaught they could have done better with the animation of the cars in the first stage. They just didn't seem to move realisticaly, later it seems to get progressively better though.
One thing I liked from Initial D was how they explained the driving techniques, they used them correctly as well, which I think was a good idea. I woulden't do any of what they do in the anime unless I realy knew the roads well, and was racing in a competition, but it was semi-believable. Being a sim racer soon to be real racer (hopefully), I actualy liked the show alot.
