Night in the Woods is everything I dreamt it would be. I absolutely had to do some fanart for it. I've been really busy, but I had to bust out a quick painting of Mae; she's such a fun, lovable little piece of shit, and I really wanted to sort of encapsulate the warm happy Autumn feelings this game gives me. I'd love to do a spookier themed piece down the road, since there's lots of great weird stuff like that in the game, too. But so far, one of the most enjoyable things has just been the simplicity of like...walking down the street and jumping on mailboxes haha.
But yeah, if you haven't checked it out yet, then you absolutely should. It's super fun, and completely overflowing with personality. Cheers!

I tried to make her just like..baaarely above average body type? Because in my mind her telling herself that she's chubby is more of a self deprecation thing than her actually being very noticeably overweight. Like she may just have a little bit of chunk, but not a ton. I guess it doesn't help that all of the characters have super tiny noodle arms, too.
As for doing the others, I'd def like to if I can find the time. Mostly Bea and Gregg (he rulz ok) specifically. Angus is a neat boi but I didn't do like anything with him in the game by the time it was over, and since I'm way short on time, I'd def pick doing either of those other characters uwu

Would you mind sharing a tutorial or how you choose your colors? I'm still just learning and I go from light and saturated to dark and unsaturated, but that never ends up looking realistic. how do you choose your colors? Heres my real art page. http://genuinesongbird.deviantart.com/
I only saw a few snips of this game on Youtube and it's both hard for me to see it as a "game", and to not get curious about it. It's just so "real" in the sense of how we already act in real life. It's kinda like a reality check, but with animals or something?
