But wait! Salvation is at hand! It's the intrepid 35th Mobile Rubber Chicken Artillery!
With their dread cry, "BERWYN?!" , they leap into the fray!
(what the heck. If UPS rings the doorbell, delivering a couple 6544s I bought on Facebook, I shouldn't run with it?)

I must admit though that I had never seen this particular model of missile firing car before, so I did a quick check on YouTube and found an old TV commercial that featured almost every "Military" themed car and accessory Lionel made in the early 1960s. Much to my surprise there were two types of cars that launched actual flying helicopters, "Target" cars that used fans to levitate balloons to shoot the tiny missiles at, and these "Phalanx" type missile carriers which appeared to fire the missiles one by one. So how do they work? Is the big, red button-lever off to the right side the trigger?
A feller with the right programming and a decent 3-D Printer could make a bit of extra money recreating the missing parts for these wonderful old train sets.
...Just a screwy idea I came up with while watching the video of those old Lionel commercials.
