I feel really good about my speed and shading lately... still of course largely unsatisfied in that artistic way, but with practice I'll iron it out.
I wanted this picture to capture the duality of dominance. A smaller cat obviously commanding a large snake creature that could (and likely wants to) eat him, while being completely bound in his coils... kinda a fun concept.

Oh my cat's know that dommy side of you all too well :P This picture captured that personality of yours perfectly and amazing job on the snake. I've tried to draw my own pet snakes in the past and keeping the bulk of the tubular body centered so that they still appear to be connected to a spine and matching that all up with foreshortening and perspective of coils is challenging! You totally pulled all of that off seamlessly I honestly can't spot a flaw in your snake at all!
It's surprising to most that i have a dommy streak in me. Snake bodies are never my forte, but im pretty happy with this too... lots of room for improvement but im glad you enjoy it. I feel the growth with this piece, and i hope next time i do a snake youre even more proud! <3
