This is something for my visual development class! We had to choose a story from Grimm's fairy tales, choose a certain art style and do some background painting work on it based on a setting of our choosing. I chose the Raven story (no not Edgar Allan Poe's version lol) and I wanted to depict the first scene where the two protagonists meet each other. The characters are actually not designed yet, so these two are mainly placeholders to show scale. :'D

I'm kinda working off a more cartoony style, so I didnt want to go realistic as I usually do with my backgrounds, so no fancy brushes here! Its the first time I've tried a bg this style and it was actually more harder and time consuming than I thought haha.
