My first piece of complete original work. Ever. Period. Sketched traditionally, and edited in about 7 layers digitally with an awesome program called OpenCanvas. All in all, took 15-17 hours to complete.
This is my fursona, a red and silver wolfox, but you can call him Iaran =3
Still need to work a bit on my anthro characters, but this came out far beyond my expectations. I'm up for all criticism as long as it helps me and doesn't try to discourage me.
References: My room, my jeans, my dresser, my light, assistance from Turtle (dragongodess1 on dA for facial structure), Alexus (for eyes), and "Pondering" by Fluke (for texturing purposes).

Thank you =3 I was aware of the issue with the legs the first time I sketched it and just could not seem to fix it in the following two sketches, so that's just the way it turned out =/
Just checked my original sketch... looks like the torso got LONGER and the legs SHORTER in my next two sketches xD Makes me feel kinda dumb now.
The arm. I didn't really think much about that. My lazyness prevented that -.-
Thank you for your feedback. It's greatly appreciated =D

Good thing! I don't know how new artists generally start out, but light and shadow came late for me >_<
So I'm a bit shocked to see it used in a somewhat sophisticated way here.
I say somewhat sophisticated because even though it's kinda cliche to put someone in shadow to set a bad mood (I'm not criticising that at all), it seems to me like you know what you're doing with it, and it works. Good job!
