By the early 4200's BCE, the tide of war was changing against the Ko'Jame Forces. They navy especially was losing territory faster than expected and needed a halt to the EIN. By 4,286 BCE the first ships of a new class were ready for combat, the lead ship KRN Mong'Lin along with sister ships Gong'Ik and Tha'To were tasked with a suicide mission, run straight through the EIN main force to Efona controlled territory and bombard coastal civilian and industrial cities with their main 400 mm guns. After approaching the main force with a small amount of air cover that was quickly shot down, a large gun fight ensued while the ships continued on to the coast. Within an hour the Gong'Ik was severely damaged with only the forward most turret still operational while the Tha'To was out of commission and being evacuated with a skeleton crew remaining. By 3 hours through, the fleet surrounded the two ships with option of surrender, with the sever damage sustained by the Tha'To, the KRN ordered to scuttle the ship, but Mong'Lin's captain was over confident in his ship and continued to fight on. After an onslaught of gunfire the ship was all but out commission. Before the ship could be scuttled a team of EIN special forces boarded and captured the ship. By the end of the battle an estimated 3,589 died on all 3 of the Ko'Jame ships and almost half within the EIN fleet. The ship was brought back to Efona controlled waters, given an overhaul and refit in 4,283 BCE and renamed the EIN Con'Kling. Later in 3,894 BCE a second overhaul and refit was done to improve computer and gun control systems
