Donny and the DNA Disease - Ch 1

Greetings to you all!
Well, I did promise in my journal I would contribute to the cause, so I shall do so with what I do best; tell stories.
Now, I've read plenty of your stories about transformation all across many different species. Many of them are indeed fun to read, and several go into great detail to describe your characters and what they're thinking and feeling. Plenty of detail also goes into the transformation itself, explaining the whole process almost step-by-step, as if inviting the reader to experience it for themselves through the power of imagination. Bravo to you all who achieve it.
But what interests me most about transformations is how your characters react to such a bizarre happenstance. They've been living their lives for many years, taking everything about their body for granted save the occasional sprained ankle. Then what happens when everything they've known about their physical form gets completely altered almost overnight? By the looks of things, a lot of characters seem to adapt to it almost instantly and even accept a whole new spin on their everyday lives. In my opinion, somewhat disappointing for a story.
I've always seen transformations for beings that don't normally experience it to be rather frightening and confusing, and when there's nobody to assure them "it will be all right", they may even start to panic. Perhaps they fear humiliation, or a sudden change of diet. Plenty of unknowns to be thrust upon somebody almost unexpectedly.
So I would like to provide you all with a story where the reaction is practically the entire scene. Or part of; I plan on continuing it should it get good feedback. I hope you all enjoy. Such is the intention for stories, after all.

I'm glad I opened this link, because your story is very interesting! ^w^ I hope you keep writing for yourself, some of the best work comes from personal desire to create something close to your heart~! Sorry, I'm as cheesy as they come ^^' I'm glad to be you're first comment and watcher, hope to read more from you!
Thanks. One of the few good written stories with characters and without sex/tg cliches. First, I think that Donny has to change into a squirrel. I wait for more, because post-TF is the most interesting part.
