To try and battle away self-doubt, I attacked my first EVER arrangement of a song. The song in question is "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook, so most of the melodies therein are copyright him.
However, this re-arrangement features piano, strings, piccolo, brass, timpani, cymbals, drums and glockenspiel. I'd love to know what you think as arranging is not something I do normally and this took a lot of work.
Oh, and if anyone has perfect pitch, no, the chords are not exactly correct. But I couldn't work out HOW to make it perfect. Besides, it's a re-arrangement, I can do what I like. XD
And I did say I'd dedicate it to
jasesea, so there you have it.

You know, I totally didn't recognise this song until the second half - then I was like OH!! It's THIS one! I sorta figured out the piano bit on the piano years ago, but never ever knew what the song was! *hugs* I think that's a great job! The cymbals and glockenspiel work really well and sound great, a nice catchy rhythm behind it all. I think the only thing letting you down is perhaps your sample set (as we all know, some can sound better than others) but *tips his hat* well played!
I didn't recognize this at all, but then again, I only listen to Classical music, so it's not too surprising. You did have an interesting blend of instruments and you managed to keep it surprising how you placed all of them together. It was okay, but not really my kind of music.
Best of luck with future works!

Much of this arrangement reminds me of a forest, first a sad one then a happy one. Like something good just happened in a place that had been cursed or mourning something.
I don't know what the original sounds like (perhaps you should link to it) but it'd be hard pressed to be better than what you just did my friend.
Shoot, if I ever get into a business that involves a need for music I'd have to say 'you're hired'.

That's very kind of you! If you want to hear the original - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ULVQOneeZE
Perhaps arranging is my forte? XD
