The third and final sample of a brand new commission type - bust portraits! These are a new item on my menu and this month I wanted to get some examples made so you guys would have a better idea of what I'm offering with them.

This one was commissioned by of her character Lantis. This one provided me with a couple new challenges, ones that may pop up from time to time with these. First, this character is male, so I couldn't rely on the long lashes and eye makeup to add intensity to the eyes (yes I know, guys have lashes too, but typically in cartoony styles they aren't as large and full); second, he doesn't have the long, flowy hair that I would normally use to frame the face and add details. So instead, I gave him sort of a woodland crown, befitting some type of forest prince or nature deity. The blue and yellow jewels were requested by the commissioner so I made sure to work those into the design.

His eyes were definitely my favorite part of coloring this one though, and I love how they turned out. :3
