I never had one, but I wanted one when they were out. For all of the, what, three weeks before the system died horribly? Poor Atari...

I always wanted one too, because OMG IT WAS IN COLOR! Of course it had about a 20 minute battery life for 15 AA's or something silly like that, it actually made the Game Gear's battery munching ways look good in comparison. :p

"Dude, Columns is AWESOME!" I only saw one in person once, made my original GB Brick look kinda sad by comparison.

I skipped the Game Gear myself because of the ghosting problem. A friend of mine had a GG and had one of the Sonic games for it, which is probably the worst game to have on a system with a bad ghosting screen...

"Hey, guys, check out this color handheld system! But, uhh, the screen sorta has problems if things move too fast, so, we should probably downplay that..." "Screw that, let's put SONIC on there! Blazing speed! Yeah!"
