Likes- Bouncing on the bed, chasing pigeons, running around, pretending to be a lion, playing with his little sister, and being read to by his big sister.

Dislikes- Bathtime, monster movies, sleeping without a nightlight, and tummyaches.

Favorite food: Tofu nuggets.

Story- Mika does not know who his birth parents were. All he knows is that he was found at a bus station in Florida one day when he was still a baby. He was given the name Mika because there was a name tag with the last name Akita in his swaddling clothes, and nothing else. They waited and waited, but no grown-ups ever came for him, so he had to go to foster care. That was where he met Melissa, and the two of them would grow to be good friends.

But it was not easy being in a foster home. Their social worker, Ms. Sarah, was very sweet to them, but no one she found could keep them for long. Melissa and Mika kept getting sent to different places. But one day, something amazing happened! Ms. Sarah found a friend of hers, named Charles, who wanted to adopt them. He already had a daughter named Madeline, so not only were Mika and Melissa going to be brother and sister, but now they had a little sister to play with too!

Mika is a very active little boy, much like his little sister Madeline. He's always running around and jumping from something very high up, like his bed or the swings at the park. He always knows just what to do so he doesn't get hurt. He also likes showing other kids how to do the same thing!

Also like his little sister, he doesn't like sitting still at all! You have to work hard if you want to get him to take a nap or to not wiggle at the dinner table. (Especially if he feels like playing with his toy cellphone!) But Charles doesn't mind this- he loves all his children just the way they are.
