During May and June, graduation ceremonies are taking place all over North America (and other parts of the world), so I thought I'd post this classic gag (done in the style of a New Yorker cartoon) about a dog giving a commencement address. (And even though most graduation ceremonies take place in the morning, I had this particular canine give his speech in the evening; I hope some of you don't mind.)

This image was originally designed for a birthday card I'd sent to my sister Rhonda (back in September, 2003). And now, at the time of this image's posting (in May, 2009), Rhonda is (herself) in charge of running a graduation ceremony at C.W. Post College in Greenvale, NY. Ironically, said graduation also falls on Mother's Day, and there's nothing worse than having a 'Working Mom' working on Mother's Day! Here's to you, Sis; Take it easy, after all the hoopla is over...
