"What are you doing?"
"I don't like pickles.."
"Well, why don't you ask them to not put pickles on it?"
"Because they screw up the whole order all the time if you ask for something special."
"Mhmmm. Are you sure you're picking them out because you don't like them?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I've seen what eating certain foods does to you...."
"Uhm.. Hey, do you think the cashiers are looking at us funny? Maybe we came too late at night."
"I'm sure they are dear, but I doubt it has anything to do with the time.."

Some truely great posing and expressions in here. Particularly the tongue poking, I love that.
Can't say I've had the same experience with fast food places. I always ask for something removed, and while they've occasionally forgotten to remove it, that's the worst that's happened. And they've replaced my whatever with a new one sans whatever when asked.
The little 'story' is a nice bonus, by the way.

Oddly enough, I was once introduced to the joys of bread and butter sweet pickles on a chicken sandwich by a mistake. Apparently they had run out of their usual faire and ended up tossing in a few sweet pickles besides, and now... I'm addicted. I'll even eat the things on pizza.
As for the pic, very nicely done. I like how one is all stretched out underneath, having dealt with the difficulties of too low lying booths, and the other is curled up. Says as much about the difference in their approach as does the pickles picking. Even the relative size of their side orders seems to be saying something of character.
That or maybe I just really want a fry and those discarded pickles :P

You're welcome. I think it's nice to see these larger than life characters, who always seem to be involved in such outrageous (and often messy) mishaps, sharing a bit of monotony that most of us have experienced. What's more monotonous than being one of the few people in a fast-food place, late at night, in the rain?
... this is what I should have posted in the first place.

Looking at this a third time I really have to say, something I didn't take the time to notice before is that the crowning glory of this image is the texture of the table. A faux wood plastic table with a million worn little scratches and lights shining down on it. Maybe it's a funny thing for me to latch onto, but you so nailed it. Coloring and texturing is your strength and I think sometimes it is confused a little because of your sometimes shaky feel for anatomy, but what could be simpler than a flat surface and it just shows through that you totally know what you are doing when it comes to light and texture.
