(I think this is the first time I've commented on a picture you put on both dA and FA, on FA first XD)

Your grasp on anatomy has really grown. I was able to tell it was a girl when I first saw it. XD And it's really subtle things that distinguish male from female on a wolf. (maybe it was the lack of sheath that really gave it away X3) And for some reason, my eyes were drawn to the eyes and the paws. Though I think you should start drawing in claws too. Add to the realism. (to a green wolf) All in all, very well drawn. :3

Oh! And check your notes on dA. I'm gonna note you soon about something.

I used to draw the claws, but I never quite got the grasp of it... It's just another thing I need to work on. First though, I think I need to work on perfecting the paws -- I can draw decent paws, but I'm nowhere near perfect and I'd like to get a little better at them before I start drawing claws regularly. :P (although did you notice that I drew the claws on the Nightfire drawing?)

I dun know. The nose and the forepaws seemed to be more forward due to perspective, so they just stick out more. (no pun intended) And the eyes are the shiniest things in the whole picture, so by contrast, attract more attention. (XD who said music theory never helped in the real world) XD Well, the way she's sitting doesn't mean anything. I mean, look at half the male pictures on this site. XD

I really like your paws. (I just typed out the code for the "noes" emote in dA XD I need to spend less time there) You do them so well! I just think you need to add the claws to make them better. :3

Honestly, I think the facial anatomy on this drawing is the best I've ever done. I've managed to get it to the point where I can be pretty consistent with the structure of the muzzle, but I do have trouble with it every once in a while... This one just turned out awesome. O__O

I do that too! x3 And yeah, I guess so... I need to practice drawing claws more often too, but I might start drawing them soon.

I'm starting to get better at the head/muzzle too, but that's just because I always start with the head. (the left ear to be exact XD) So if I scrap a drawing and don't practice anything else, I always got to the head.

This tutorial helped me the most with paws/claws. http://nightfell.deviantart.com/art.....tch-2-20132237 It really was just a good drawing, and made me go "ooohhh" a lot. XD

Haha, I used to write down ideas for t-shirt slogans all the time. :D

I usually start with the nose and work my way up the muzzle to the face, ears, neck, etc. Although if it's a drawing with a weird pose, sometimes I'll start with the tail, butt, and back legs. xD


That's pretty much how I do them, with a few small differences... I just have to work on consistency a bit more, and then I'll start with the claws. :3

Well, if there's something I'm worried about getting right, I'll sometiems start with it, but my biggest problem is getting the head/body porportion right. And for me it's always easier to adjust the body to match the head than vice-versa.
