A Magnetic Flagman (Pre-Griswold) Wig Wag stands inert in the moonlight.

It would have rocked to have it operating in the darkness. I've not observed a Wig Wag at night since one night in 1974 on S. County Highway G in Janesville Wisconsin. The C&NW crossed the road near Kellogg Ave and there were two 'Peach basket' Griswold Signal Wig Wag's there that I loved watching.
