anyway heres a lore dump

Blanket dragons can be split into 4 groups or 'classes'. These Classes each hold their place within their communities and colonies, some granting protection and others ruling.

The Highest class: Noble

Nobles are only found in the large capital colonies, usually formed of large old families that have been ruling for centuries. They are usually adorned with fancy fabrics, glittering jewels and indulge in only the best foods available.

The Middle Classes: Sages and Knights

Sages are the masters of Magic in the realms of Blanket dragons. Though all Blanket dragons can use magic, Sages are thought of to be the embodiment of it. The long 'feelers' on their backs help them channel magic from the area into themselves. Many Sages help set up colonies, they also help train and teach hatchlings magic. While Sages help create Colonies, Knights help protect them. Hardy and strong, they train from when they're young, learning how to fight and protect their colonies. Knights have hard scales covering their bellies, tail, nose and legs, these scales are rather soft and velvety while young but harden with age. Knight Blanket dragons tend to be less magic driven than other Blanket dragons.

The Lowest Class: Common

Though they might be the lowest class doesn't mean they are treated wrongly. Common Blanket dragons are huge in number and make up most of the colonies and their communities. The most versatile and able to take part in any job. They even create smaller colonies by themselves, and if needed they would often travel to a larger colony if they need assistance from that colonies Sage or Knights but they are perfectly able to fend and care for themselves.

-It's said that only Nobles, Sages and some Knights are able to take the form of humans.

-Nobles can only come from Nobel bloodlines, but Sages and Knights can be born from Commoner blood lines.

-Knights, Sages and Commoners can usually be found living together in colonies, sometimes often forming families together and having hatchlings. Though Nobles will usually only live with each other and usually pick from a selected few to have hatchlings with.
