Equustrataur Anatomy - Pouch Detail
More of this stuff. A few people suggested i do a view like this, and i thought it was a good idea.
This serves as both a frontview for my markings, and also to illustrate the inside of the pouch-maw. Here we see the very elastic pouch skin pulled down with some uh... clips or something... and we can see right in!
Above that 'throat' the flesh is somewhat soft, but not very yielding, due to being beneath the spine. Yet below, there is nothing but springy adipose tissue and the stomach itself, so there is a lot of room for the throat to enlarge downward. The ribs and sternum move to accommodate and allow entry to sizable guests as well, as was shown in another diagram.
The 'throat' does have some rings of peristaltic muscle along the inner length, but most of the swallowing is carried out by subduing and manually shoving prey into the hole. There are bundles of nerves in the 'throat' tissue that produce feelings of arousal and pleasure when stimulated - it's fairly similar to a vagina in that regard.
Ehehehe, i like the depth of the nom-hole. The shading helps it look as though one could just slide their arm right in! And maybe even more...

It would have made a fortune of smuggling people across the border. Or maybe not, since they would probably be half digested by the time they reached their destination.
Is the stomach "air-tight", or can the person inside get air from the pouch-hole and therefor live longer until the acids finally burns too much of them?

That keeps him from getting infections with such an open channel into his stomach and such? Does the throat act the same way as a mouth or the vagina in that it has an abundance of mucus or base acidity to ward off invading microorganisms?
Lol, if you can get anatomical, I can get scientific, wh00t!
Seriously though... I'm curious Oxo

Hey ECMajor,
I like the illustrated pouch-maw. It's pretty hot actually! In more ways than one. Bet the body temperature is about a nice 100 degrees F in there!
How long would it take the Equustrataur to completely digest a person of say, 5' 3" in size? Would an adult taur be able to swallow prey that large, assuming the prey is of average size for that height?

I assume there's no gag reflex, yeah? Maybe she should be like a snake, able to vomit back up the prey item if threatened but lacking a gag reflex? That'd be kind of fun. XD Just when you think you're a goner and the worms start coming out to play, something larger and less interested in sex threatens Equustrataur and you're right back out into the world again, ready for another go (or to run away).
Okay, I have to say it: taurs are not my thing because the double organs confuse me, and vore terrifies me, but you always manage to make both of these look appealing to me. That's a hard task, so kudos to you! :D
And although I said it a few times already, your figures are a joy to look at, because of how 'full' they are. It's hard to put the essence of an equine on paper (honestly, a lot of horse art is pretty but not alive) but you manage this very very well.
My flat figures are envious of yours.

I think that this is such a cool and one of a kind concept that you've come up with. :3
Love most of the images with Equustrataur and it's pouch (or other types of) vore. ^-^
Is he/she able to hold off digestion? So that he/she may be able to use the pouch for transporting or protecting friends when neccessary?
I'd love to be gulped in him/her, but only if it meant....well, you know..... not dying. ^^'''
