Last month, I decided to support
kigai on Patreon, enough to start getting some artwork every month. This month, I decided to bring an old Werewolf: the Apocalypse character to life with their help. And here is the end result! I can't express how much I love this!
For those familiar with Werewolf: the Apocalypse, this here is Waneta, my Metis Uktena Theurge. Born blind on his left side, he isn't much of a fighter, scrawny even by Garou standards. But like many Uktena, the spirits and the Umbra fascinated him, to the point where he applied himself to being useful through dealing with spirits on others' behalf. In fact, his skill with the supernatural was so good, he started making deals with more than just spirits. Ghosts, mages, even some vampires, you name it. He quickly became the person to know in Denver when it came to the supernatural, a fact he used to further the local Caern by supplying them with what he knew. Within reason, of course. Uktena do like their secrets...
For those wondering about his name, I haven't been able to place the tribe, but it is a native american name meaning 'shape-changer', or 'charger'. Considering how eager he is to dive into some mystery and uncover its secrets, I figured it fit. As you could guess by his attire, he's very traditional within the native circles, having been born and raised amongst Algonquin Kinfolk. Most of what he knows about the human world is through book-learning than exposure, a side-effect of being locked into his Crinos form for his formative years. But if there's one thing he likes, it's to learn. But it's his traditions and rituals that he holds close to his heart, refusing to let them die out with the changing times.
