Souffle is beginning to remind me of Atrus from the Myst series, who tries so hard to do right thing only for his relatives to cause a great deal of trouble.

When does it all end? And if Souffle cannot help Gem or his family, then who can? They all need a guardian angel.

It was one my favourite adventure game series. I'll never forget the Squee from the third game.

Only played ever beat the first one, bought it on Steam because as a family we had it both on PC and on Playstation 1 and it was on sale. All I could think was "I need to beat it, FOR FAMILY!" So I made a Let's Play series out of it...may have used a guide at points. Some of those puzzles are just too weird, like there are no real water physics in the game and yet to get the key to the chest you have to make the chest float on water?

Truth wills out so a white lie around relationships isn't healthy but sometimes knowing less about the background can be less troubling though.

Well, if Jack is somehow forcing the issue, then it would have to come out.

It's possible that Jack was going to reveal himself as Gemma's father in the court appearance, and somehow or another, Rasile and ZeeZee, or Souffle, were able to manipulate her dreams to cause her reaction in the court. Sam did say that the Green in the dream was significant, but I still haven't put that together.

But, why the dreams and such earlier, before the court hearing, I'm not sure.

Anyway, it'll be good to get more information.

I for one kinda think that there is only ONE person. Souffle and Jack are the same persons, just split personalities. Well, thats one theory of mine lol. Only time will tell. But how would they know his plans and why would that be a bad thing? For her to suddenly see him after all those years. If she had no knowledge of him before then their meddling only CAUSED her to have her mental breakdown. Wouldn't it have been better to just let the chips fall where they may?

I know, I know, Sammy has us all confused. I thought Souffle and Jack might have been the same person earlier, too, but now, I have no clue. But, if they were, how do you account for the physical differences? Also, this would mean that all of what Souffle just told Gem was a lie. I don't think the boys would have let him get away with that.

We'll just have to wait and find out. I was hoping for another page today, but I guess I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat like everyone else

Theory: He killed his brother in revenge but was later possessed by his brothers ghost

Another Theory: Jack was influenced by a demon that fed on his jealousy and rage, and when he became incapacitated, it started to latch on to Souffle's darker thoughts in the hope of using him to finish what it started years ago.

Holy moly, what's gonna happen?!

Either possession is happening or Jack and Souffle are one and the same being, just alternate egos.

Hmmmm, interesting. I can't wait to see where this is going. It would appear that Souffle is turning into Jack. Why? I don't know. Since this is in a dream state, and Souffle APPEARS to be alive (since he talked to Paul), I'm not sure what's going on. Rasile's concern over the 'whole story' and Souffle's comment that 'your father' isn't allowing any time is rather confusing, actually.

Neither Rasile nor ZeeZee seem too concerned over Souffle's transformation, or maybe they are, and just haven't said it yet.

I love ZeeZee's expression and his glasses in the fourth panel. Sam, second to last panel, shouldn't 'gemma' be capitalized?

I have suspected for a while now that Jack and Souffle are actually the same person. Jack has multiple personalities and their mom explained it away as them being 2 different people. It WOULD make page 318 hard to explain though... Really that's the only glitch to my theory lol.

I believe too, same person, alternate personalities. Most of the time you see either Jack or Souffle. seldom ever both in the same scene. If you notice the few rare occasions you see both in the same scene, it is only temporary. The frames around that event show just an empty space. You see this with the hospital scene. If Souffle was really sitting near Jack, you'd see him in all the frames, not just one. This also occurred in the birthday scene when Souffle grabbed Jack and confronted him about going to the lab. You notice immediately after he's all by himself. There are a couple other scenes like that. Leads me to believe they aren't twins but one person. This illustration especially gives me the idea we are seeing both of his personalities at once.

Also I looked up page 318. Still explains this well. Notice how Nicole only sees one or the other? From Nicole's viewpoint she only sees Souffle once, then instantly sees Jack. There is no transition scene of Souffle walking away. He just disappears in that scene. I don't think that was an artistic mistake.

Another telling thing I just noticed about page 318 is how Jack holds his tie in panel 3. Look at where his left and right hands are. His right hand is in the spot Souffle's hand was, and his left hand is still holding his tie in the same area he grabbed Souffle's arm.

Nicole also might be aware of Souffle/Jack's personnas and trying to greet them so that she can get him to calm down and greet whichever persona he is at the moment.

Then how did Souffle arrive at the scene of the fire to see them taking Jack away. If the Mr. Murdoch in the court scene was Jack, how is it Gemma called out to Souffle? How could Souffle be looking after Jack in the hospital, and both ZeeZee and Rasile not contradict him?

It would make a lot of sense if they were the same person, but how do you explain both of them being in the same place at the same time? Who did Jack see sleeping with Nicole? Himself?

I think Souffle isn't as he appears or something. I wonder if Souffle and the dad of the boys are the same person just 2 sides of one coin. There are so many possibilities. I'm so excited.
