*___*
I went ahead and had some fun painting times today. I wanted to draw something really cute, and my cats kept bugging me (buggering fucks) so it had to be something cat-like for sure. Additional to this I want to get a little (ca 60-100 litres) aquarium, and angelfishes (Scalars to be exact, I adore them to bits) So I came up with this little fella! I personally love him ;3; He's fluffy like a kitteh and has these little long fins and fishy tails I so like! I actually plan to do a species ref for them x3 By the way, in case similar ones already exist, it wasn't intended in any case or form. I know a lot of cat species are out there, I don't want to step on anyone's foot here >-<
And here's the bit of info on them (my handwriting is awful><):
Ankits
Angelfish-Kitsunes
Cat-like species with resemblance to anglefishes.
Their appearance depends on the habitat they live in. Colours and markings greatly differ from one another. Their diet also plays an important role in their coloration, since it influences which colours their fur and scales turn into. Ankits are usually born with little to no fur. It grows when they mature (around one year) and starts changing colour around that time as well.
Traits that differ on Ankits are:
- Size
- Ears
- Eyes
- Amount of fur around neck and back
- Fins
- Tail
- Colours and markings
Ankits are quite intelligent and can communicate via telepathy. The stone on their forehead helps them bundle cosmic energy to do so. It is given to them by their parents when they mature and is the most important thing to them. These gems can not be replaced. If it is lost or stolen, the Ankit loses it's means to communicate completely.
Most Ankits tend to take equipment or personal belongings with them wherever they go. A lot of them have favourite accessoires and hobbies which require a certain type of attire or equipment.
Every Ankit is unique, not one looks like the other. Even twins are not identical.
More lore will follow in the species ref ^3^
