I grew up with Kobolds being these furry wolf-esque creatures that know how to handle a sword.
But I guess a lot has changed since then, because they're now these tiny reptilian things.
Either way, furry or scaly... kobolds are my favorite dnd race

They're just like any fantasy creature
It's just that the one's I grew up with a furry Kobolds
Their appearance is very wolf-esque, and they supposedly fight wielding swords and are tough to fight in combat.
And it seems that there have been changes to kobolds over the past few years
where they are now these "cowardly" scaly reptilians that are descendants of dragons and also make traps
